Si je ne faisais qu’une seule chose avec mon appareil photo, ce serait des portraits individuels. Pour moi, chaque séance de portrait crée un espace d’intimité, de connexion. Mon objectif est plutôt de créer des portraits uniques avec chaque personne.
If I could do just one thing with a camera, it would be making one-on-one portraits with people. For me, a portrait session creates an intimate space for connection. My goal is to create individual, unique portraits with each person.

As we move through the wedding session together, Angela and Sabz settle effortlessly into each other’s arms. First we find a spot together, and then from there I’m just an observer to their deep connection and love for each other.

Flavie's free and open spirit is reflected in how they approach their garden; they encourage things to grow where they fall, and embrace the mixture of flavours that result from this interconnectivity beyond the stereotypical pairing of tomatoes and basil. Together we make some portraits together in their backyard garden.

Kristen welcomes me into the collective garden and I'm transported from the busy borough of Point-Saint-Charles in Montreal to a lush vegetable garden oasis. As I photograph Leh, she slowly moves around her garden with her green watering can, listening to the needs of each plant before carrying on. Seeing her body relax spending time surrounded by growing things, I can see how time spent in her garden is good for Leh's mental health.
